Friday March 31

Oh, my goodness, this ... this is a rather weird day, man.

I got into my portable for the start of period 2 and ... whoa. It was a really strong smell. We moved to the library for the period.

In any case, here are the questions that are due today, and please get the character sketches completed too.

I'm so glad we are so resilient and can keep learning, regardless of the obstacle in our way. I was impressed with my class today so far today.

Wednesday March 29

We finished the book today.

Tuesday March 28

We did a fair amount of reading today - we got to page 350 in the text and got the questions to the end of Chapter 24.

We should be done the book tomorrow, have the OSSLT on Thursday and get on with handing in things by Friday, March 31. If you check the due dates, stuff is due then, too.

We'll have some paragraph writing help tomorrow, too.

OK, then we'll get on to And then there were none!

Friday and Monday March 27

Man, I'm shaking my own head sometimes.

In any case, we've read to the end of Chapter 24 in the novel.

We did get all the questions for Chapter 22, 23 and 24 for homework.

We do need to get the character sketches done for ourselves.

Wed March 19

Man, I have to apologise ... keeping this blog up to date has been a real benefit to support the learning of my students in this class.

I will do better.

In this class, we continue to read Hunger Games. We got to page 290 today. See on the right-hand side of the blog the questions we have done already in class.

In any case, I will do better - keep up your hard work.

I also did show all present students an actual mark in class today or yesterday. Of course, I had a number of assignments without a name on them, and so I will get these marks updated before too long.

Thursday and Friday March 3

I am sorry for not posting yesterday.

It was nice and boring in Period One both days. We read the book, we talked about the homework and chatted about Hunger Games.

We are in the middle of the Games, and it's pretty exciting. I'm trying to get the excitement out in the reading I'm doing in class.

We've gotten to Page 199 and got the following questions for homework so far:

Wednesday March 1

Well, it's Ash Wednesday, so we ran a Mass Day Schedule today, making Period Two a very long one.

We read together before the Liturgy and again afterwards, too. We got to page 160 in the text and were assigned the questions for Chapter 9 and 10 today.

Funnily enough, I walked around my class and noticed that some of my students have not a single question completed for any of the assigned work so far in the book. It's a sad situation which I hope to solve together in the coming days.

Still, we are getting to the "cool" parts of the novel - the actual Games!
