Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday June 13
Thursday, Friday and Monday we worked in the D2L system on Literacy Test Prep Unit.
Tuesday was OSSLT or Math EQAO for Grade nines.
It was boring, but at least we got through it and we'll continue our own OSSLT prep tomorrow and going into the end of the course next Wednesday.

We continued our Literacy Test prep unit in the D2L learning management system today.
We did a bit of work together as we looked at what people had written in the Discussion forums for the first assignment - the LTP BU A2. This Discussion topic was this one:
Identify one action you take in your daily life to be healthy.
We also had the rubric / memory aid that the OSSLT markers had when they marked this part - it's posted below. We discussed how people might have marked the various entries from various students in the class.
in class discussion kept track of who logged in and who did not.

Friday and Monday May 29
So today we continued with the Blended Learning Unit.
A good number of students got a D2L email today (that is an email inside the D2L system) about needing to catch up on BLU A3 and A4.
Lots of people were ok with taking today and working on parts of this unit, but we really do need to move forward.
I've set the deadlines for the BLU as May 30th at 9am.

Today was the first day of the next unit - the Blended Learning Unit. I will post the due dates for the various assignments shortly.
I had all students try to log in here at the eLearning site for HCDSB.
I do have logins and I can reset passwords if needed.
I am introducing the eLearning idea slowly and with luck will see my students start to understand that a cell phone can be a powerful learning tool ... instead of a toy.
